Impact Party

Dear Neighborhood and ORGANIZhERS co-hosted a community event designed to educate and activate New Yorkers ahead of the City Council and Mayoral primaries—while also offering a meaningful way to support unhoused neighbors in Brooklyn.

This event is grounded in two core goals:

Voter Education: To demystify NYC’s voting system and increase turnout, particularly among young and underrepresented communities.
Community Action: To provide a hands-on volunteer opportunity where attendees will assemble care packages for unhoused New Yorkers.

This events is designed to offer attendees a relaxed, engaging space where they can connect, have fun, and learn how different local offices shape life in New York City. Featured offices include:

Mayor
City Comptroller
Public Advocate
Borough President
City Council

Through interactive workshops and activities, participants will gain a clearer understanding of what each office does — and how their vote makes a direct impact.
